If you’re not feeling a connection with your coach, it can affect your coaching experience and outcomes. If you’re considering switching coaches but aren’t sure how to go about it, this article will guide you through the process.
When the Fit Isn’t Right
Sometimes, the first coach you’re matched with may not be the best fit for you. If you’ve given it a fair try but still feel the connection isn’t there, you have the option to switch coaches through MantraCoach. What’s most important is that you experience the full benefits of coaching, and if that means finding a new coach, CoachHub is happy to assist in making that change.
We understand that changing coaches can feel uncomfortable for some, so we’ve created a step-by-step guide to make the process as smooth and easy as possible for you.
Step 1: Reach Out to the Support Team
The Client Experience team is dedicated to ensuring you have the best coaching experience possible. Simply send an email to [email protected] or message them through the chat function on the platform.
The support team will guide you through the next steps and help connect you with a new coach. You’ll receive three new coach suggestions based on your original coach matching survey preferences. If you’d like to explore other options, you can also retake the survey to refine your preferences.
Step 2: Notify Your Previous Coach (Optional)
You have the option to send a closing message to your previous coach via the platform’s messaging feature, but this is entirely up to you. The Client Experience team will also notify your coach about the change in a separate email.
Changing coaches is a common process, and coaches understand that you have the flexibility to switch at any time. They won’t take it personally or be offended by your decision. While you’re welcome to share feedback or explain your reasons for the switch, there’s no pressure to do so if you prefer not to.
Step 3: Start Working with Your New Coach
Once you’re matched with your new coach, you’re ready to continue your coaching journey. Simply book a session through their calendar to schedule your next meeting and begin working together.
Your new coach may ask about your reason for switching, as it can provide valuable insight into what works for you and what doesn’t. This can help shape the direction of your coaching, but of course, it’s entirely up to you whether or not you choose to share this information.
If you’ve been considering a coach change but have felt some resistance, we hope this article has offered helpful guidance and clarity. Should you have any questions about the process, the Client Experience team is always happy to assist you!
