This quick and simple exercise offers reflective questions designed to help you feel energized, prepared, and ready for the week ahead.
Looking Forward
Rather than feeling the “Sunday blues” or “Sunday scaries,” take this time before the week begins to sit calmly and reflect on what you want to accomplish, what you’re looking forward to, and what might support you in reaching your goals.
This exercise is crafted to help you do just that, setting you up to start your week on a positive note.
The exercise
Grab whatever you feel most comfortable writing with and explore the following questions:
- What are three goals you have for the upcoming week?
- What distracted you from your goals last week?
- How can you overcome those distractions this week?
- What actions or habits helped you move closer to your goals last week?
- How can you emphasize those actions this week?

Moving forward
Reflecting weekly and revisiting your previous notes can be a great way to track your progress and celebrate your wins. This practice not only prepares you for the week ahead but also boosts motivation by revealing how much you’ve grown and achieved over time.
